Dual-Mode Sensing Technology
The DGA-300 is the only solid-state hydrogen sensor with a patented dual-mode detection architecture — combining the wide dynamic range of resistive sensing with the ultra-low-concentration precision of MIS C-V measurement.
Resistive Mode
Principle: Pd thin-film resistor in a Wheatstone bridge configuration. As H₂ absorbs into the Pd lattice, the film resistance changes proportionally.
Range: 0.4%–100% H₂ (4,000–1,000,000 ppm)
Application: High-concentration monitoring during fault conditions. Ensures the sensor never saturates — even under severe arcing faults with extreme H₂ generation.
MIS C-V Mode
Principle: Metal-Insulator-Semiconductor Capacitance-Voltage measurement. The Pd gate’s work function shifts as H₂ absorbs, changing the C-V characteristic with extreme sensitivity.
Range: 15–4,000 ppm H₂
Application: Ultra-low-concentration early warning. Detects developing faults years before they become critical — 5× better sensitivity than standard thin-film sensors.
